Trusted Community Futures Platform Receives Targeted Investment of $40 Million from the Government of Canada
As an established and “trusted network” of rural economic development across southern Ontario, on February 13, 2023, the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Canada’s Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), along with Francis Drouin, Member of Parliament for Glengarry–Prescott–Russell, announced $40 million in targeted investment in the Community Futures platform.

A High-Water Mark in Northumberland
NCFDC is on its way to achieving the biggest year of lending in the corporation’s history. Despite economic headwinds, NCFDC is there to back viable and competitive local businesses, including attracting new ventures to set up shop in our community. One great example, Fogorig Brewing, is a brand new family-run brewery located in Trent Hills. The venture was named after the historic mill restored and renovated as a production facility and venue.
